RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES AND THEIR USE AS ELECTRICITY IN THE AGRICULTURE *

Аннотация:
in modern times energy supply in agriculture is based on the use of fossil fuels. Considering that, fossil fuels are exhaustible, there is a need to use new means for energy supply in agriculture. Therefore, the application of renewable energy sources for energy supply in agriculture is one of the issues currently being discussed. In this article we will look through the application of renewable energy sources in agriculture.

Introduction. As we mentioned, in modern times, fossil fuels are used for the use of electricity in agriculture. The use of fossil fuels makes the energy supply unstable. Because fossil fuels are limited in our planet and there is a risk of running out in the future. At the same time, the use of fossil fuels is one of the factors leading to carbonization and climate change. The most efficient way to overcome such problems is the application of alternative energy technology. The use of alternative energy sources in agriculture ensures energy stability and reliability. There are different types of alternative energy sources in the world. Solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy and geothermal energy belong to alternative energy sources. The sun is the largest alternative energy source. Therefore, it has a wide field of application in agriculture. On the farm, solar energy can be used for two purposes. For the purpose of obtaining heat and for the purpose of obtaining electricity. Through photovoltaic systems, the energy from the sun is converted into electricity. Solar panels are devices that convert solar energy into electricity.Fig 1. Solar panels.Wind energy is the fastest growing form of alternative energy. Farmers can meet their own electricity needs with the help of wind energy. One of the advantages of using wind energy is that this type of energy is economically viable for farmers. Devices that convert the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy are called wind turbines. If the turbine produces more electricity than the farm needs, the extra power is fed back into the grid. Wind turbines use wind generators. Depending on the turbine, the power of wind generators varies from 400W to 40 kW.Fig 2. Wind turbines.Biomass is an alternative energy source made from plant and animal remains. Plant residues are converted into biomass energy through the process of photosynthesis. Biomass can be burned directly for heat or through thermochemical conversion to obtain liquid, gas and solid fuels. Biomass energy can also be used in agriculture. Energy sources considered as biomass are:Forestry and wood processing waste;Agricultural biological waste;Industrial and household waste.Geothermal energy is heat energy generated under the earth's crust. This energy is the heat produced by the decay of radioactive elements in the earth's core. In agriculture, farmers use this energy instead of fuel because it is both clean energy and economically viable. In addition, farmers can use geothermal water to regulate soil temperature and protect soil from cold weather. In this way, they can grow more crops and get more profit. Fig 3. Use of geothermal energy in agriculture.Conclusion. Application of alternative energy sources for the efficient use of electricity in agriculture can increase the sustainable and useful level of energy in the future. The application of alternative energy technology in agriculture allows to prevent climate change and achieve a carbon-free future.
