In today's society, where gadgets play an integral role in everyone's life, we notice how great the influence of the Internet is. The invention of this system was a real revolution in people's lives and served as the beginning of a new stage in the development of the state. Now it's hard to imagine what would have happened if we had gone back a hundred years ago, because humanity is very attached to gadgets and communication, which provides communication between people even at a great distance, allows you to share experiences and develop some skills. Now the Internet is replacing library archives, a lot of books that were previously searched in order to find some piece of necessary information. With the advent of long-distance communication, TV shows began to form at an impressive speed, and later web pages and other various sources from where you can find out the news, rather than waiting for a weekly newspaper, society has gained the opportunity to listen, read and see what is happening in every civilized corner of the world. The mass media has indeed become quite important in our world, but a person, looking for benefits for himself, sometimes tries to achieve this in other ways that may be harmful to others. Speaking about the dangers of the Internet, it should be noted right away that the first thing that comes to mind is disinformation, which can mislead a huge number of people. This situation arises due to the fact that there is no single verified source and a person wants to find the real truth, which can very often turn out to be deceptive in order to attract attention and raise ratings. This can really be dangerous, because a person reading such news can raise a panic that will damage both the reader's condition and those around him, since panic is a contagious thing and very often they try to use it for selfish purposes. The use of scandalous and disinforming news leads to panic among the people and possible radical solutions. Not really understanding any topic, but finding convincing articles in the media that are created for a certain reaction, the state risks seeing rioters on the streets, who may not even have an understanding of what exactly they staged a picket for. The media are a significant engine of pluralism of opinions, because on the basis of data obtained from the Internet (and other media broadcasts), a person determines his position and can present it reasonably based on some sources, but when his position consists of only one source with questionable authenticity and sometimes with a propaganda theory, this can become dangerous both for the citizen himself and for the state.Freedom of speech and correspondence are fundamental in a democratic state and are legally enshrined in the same constitution, but when correspondence begins to turn people against the government and elevate a different system of government, without revealing what "disadvantages" may be hidden behind it, questions arise: is there propaganda in our society and excessive agitation against our native country. This problem was especially clearly traced during the beginning of a Special Military Operation (hereinafter abbreviated as SVO), when the Dozhd channel misled the civilian population in difficult times and whose work was subsequently suspended. This program turned its listeners against the authorities, explaining the state of affairs in a rather radical way, or rather in an accusatory way towards the state, which was, due to the special regime, impermissible and provocative. How can there be an opportunity to ensure security through the media? The media can contribute to security, for example, by informing the public about possible threats and dangers, as well as by disseminating information about precautions and recommendations for protection. However, at the same time, the media can also become a source of disinformation and a threat to security, so it is important to treat information from the media critically and check its reliability. In addition, the media can help in the development of public dialogue and facilitate the establishment of contact between citizens and authorities, which is also important for ensuring security. However, it is important to remember that the media cannot replace the justice system and law enforcement agencies, and that security must be ensured by comprehensive measures involving all levels of society and government. Also, the media can play an important role in ensuring security within social networks and the Internet, by combating illegal information, cybercrime and online extremism. However, it is also important to take into account that the media are responsible for their publications and must follow professional ethical standards in order to avoid harming society. Thus, we can say that the possibilities of interaction between the media and a person are very large and diverse. Through the Internet, information is distributed instantly, covers all spheres of human life and regulates human relationships at a distance.
