Аннотация:
article discusses the use of modern technical means for teaching foreign languages. Digital tools such as mobile applications, artificial intelligence and virtual reality are considered, which have significantly improved the language learning process, making it more interactive and accessible. Special attention is paid to the role of teachers and their training, as well as the importance of mobile learning and online communities in the development of language skills. The prospects for the future development of technologies in teaching foreign languages and their potential in countries such as Turkmenistan, where educational reforms are being actively implemented, are noted.

In today’s fast-paced world, the use of modern technical aids in teaching foreign languages has transformed traditional classroom settings. With technological advancements, educators and students now have access to a wide range of tools that enhance learning, improve communication skills, and make the process more engaging. This is particularly significant in countries like Turkmenistan, where theres an increasing interest in global communication and education.The Role of Digital Tools.Digital tools have become central to language teaching. Apps like Duolingo, Memrise, and Babbel offer personalized learning experiences that adapt to each learners pace. They provide users with exercises in vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation, while their gamified approach keeps learners motivated. Additionally, platforms such as Google Classroom and Zoom have made virtual lessons commonplace, enabling students in different parts of the world to connect with native speakers, teachers, and peers in real-time.In Turkmenistan, these tools are especially useful, given the country’s efforts to promote multilingualism and enhance its educational systems. With many students eager to learn languages such as English, Russian, and Chinese, the availability of these platforms can help bridge gaps in local educational resources.Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Language Learning.AI is playing an increasingly important role in language education. Advanced systems like ChatGPT allow students to practice conversations, ask questions, and receive instant feedback. These AI-driven tools can simulate real-world conversations, helping learners to practice speaking and listening skills in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Moreover, AI can assess a student’s progress, adapting the curriculum to focus on weaker areas.In Turkmenistan, such tools can be invaluable, especially in regions where access to experienced language teachers might be limited. AI-driven tools can act as virtual tutors, providing guidance and support at any time.Interactive Platforms and Virtual Reality (VR).One of the more exciting developments in language learning is the use of virtual and augmented reality. Platforms like Mondly VR immerse users in virtual environments where they can practice speaking with virtual characters in various real-life scenarios. This type of immersive learning enhances not only vocabulary retention but also cultural understanding, which is critical for mastering a foreign language.While VR might still be relatively new in Turkmenistan, its potential for revolutionizing education is enormous. As the technology becomes more accessible, it could provide students with more interactive and practical language experiences, especially for those studying abroad or preparing for international work.Challenges and Considerations.Despite the benefits, integrating modern technical aids into language learning comes with challenges. Access to high-speed internet and modern devices remains a hurdle for many regions. Additionally, ensuring that teachers are trained to use these tools effectively is essential. In Turkmenistan, as the government continues to invest in its education system, addressing these technological gaps will be crucial for maximizing the benefits of digital tools in language education.Conclusion.The use of modern technical aids in foreign language teaching offers significant advantages by providing more personalized, engaging, and accessible learning experiences.
