FAMILY PORTRAIT AND BROADCAST OF FAMILY VALUES IN MODERN MOST POPULAR MEDIA IN THE CONTEXT OF STATE FAMILY POLICY *
Аннотация:
at present, the main priority of state policy is to increase the birth rate, as well as to conduct a family policy focused on having many children, preserving family values and strengthening the institution of the family in modern society. But the efforts that the state is currently making are clearly not enough to call this policy successful. This is due to the high level of divorces among the population of Russia, which is up to 90% of the number of previously concluded marriages, in some regions of our country. In connection with the foregoing, the author of this article substantiates the position according to which the image of the family should also be constantly broadcast in modern media. The orientation of such content should also be designed for the childrens generation, since the foundations of the family, mutual respect, love and fidelity are laid precisely in childhood. In connection with the foregoing, in this article, the author has attempted a scientific analysis and critical reflection on the portrait of the family and the translation of family values in the most popular modern media, in the context of state family policy.

Most of the animated films released on Russian screens are positioned as family films. A family cartoon is a genre of film production that is designed for interested perception by different age groups of both sexes at the same time, and thus suitable for viewing the film with the whole family [4, p. 112].In order to determine the main characteristics of the visual image of the family in modern Russian animated films, we conducted an authors study of the content of cartoons. The object of the study is modern Russian animated feature films, short films and individual series of animated series that were released from 1992 to 2022, in all types of distribution - cinemas, federal public broadcasting channels, specialized childrens TV channels, Internet channels in which the promo description or title contains a reference to the following topics: a family of heroes, whether its a parents or a procreations family. The image of the parent family is more common (65.6%) than the image of the procreation family (34.4%). This is due to the fact that parents are a significant figure for children, and their presence in the cartoon brings the storyline closer to everyday reality. The image of a procreative family is found in cartoons for children of primary and secondary school ages (from 7 to 15 years) because at this age the first sympathies for the opposite sex arise, and the topic of choosing future spouses, although in a playful form, is present in the video series of animated films. The image of a full family is represented in 54.6 % of animated films, and the image of a single-parent family is represented in 45.4%, respectively. According to other studies of family images in movies and TV shows, the rate of single-parent families is significantly lower. For example, in the study of Russian film production conducted by A. I. Antonov and O. L. Lebed, only 25% of the images of families shown are incomplete, these are usually single mothers or post-divorce families. In animated films, 48% of the family images that are incomplete consist of children and fathers. According to the Federal State Statistics Service, the percentage of single- parent families in Russia is almost a third of all families. Thus, in modern animated films, the real indicator of the current situation in Russia is significantly distorted [1, p. 29].The image of a family at the zero stage of the life cycle in animated films. In the course of conducting a content-analytical study, it was revealed that stage 0 of the family life cycle, that is, involvement-the moment of meeting the future husband and wife, was demonstrated in 17% of cases. When analyzing participants in family situations, the image of a young girl was highlighted, which is shown to be strong, ambitious, and a dominant personality in relationships with loved ones. The visual image of a physically strong girl is also reinforced by the fact that they can stand up not only for themselves, but also save a man who, for some reason, cannot do it himself. A young, fragile girl carries out of the fire a young man who is much larger and stronger than her, but in the drawing, this happens without any physical effort on the part of the girl.In womens images, secondary sexual characteristics are unnecessarily emphasized - a clear relief of the chest, waist, and hips. Girls often show underwear, stockings, a chest line and a thin waist, it is worth noting that some of these cartoons are intended for the category of children 0+ and 6+. Girls appear in front of the audience with bright makeup, in uninhibited poses [7, p. 108].A typical family situation at the zero stage of the life cycle of the family image development is forcing the bride to marry, without her consent, of course, such actions do not lead to a wedding, since the noble prince must necessarily save the beauty by proving his serious intentions for marriage. The groom, as a rule, is outwardly ugly and unattractive, not young, according to the plot of the cartoon, he is a gambler, the prince who owes him a large debt agrees to this unequal marriage in order to get rid of debt obligations. It is worth noting that the groom is quite often middle-aged men with flaws in appearance, but having a high status and position in society, in order to get the girl, they like as a wife, these characters are ready to go to deception, kidnappings and so on. [6, p. 83].The visual image of the young groom is often depicted in a comical way – the general careless appearance is emphasized by a disheveled hairstyle, asymmetrical frequent figures, such as a long neck, a massive jaw, and a disproportionate size of the hands in relation to the body.Images and attributes of official marriage registration are important from the point of view of family institutionalization, since officially registered marriage is the most important demographic characteristic of family formation and changes in the family structure of the population. The image of a married couple at the first stage of the family life cycle is characterized by interpersonal relationships, such as pseudo-cooperation in almost all families. This is due to the fact that at this stage the main task becomes to form a marriage relationship that satisfies both spouses, to establish a joint life, which often leads to conflicts in the family. This is confirmed by a discursive analysis on the formation of joint life: wives want a flexible distribution of roles in the family, depending on the specific situation, while husbands, on the contrary, tend to have a traditional distribution of roles: the husband is engaged in the financial support of the family and professional activities, the wife is the hostess in the house. Such a contradiction of the role expectations of the spouses leads to conflict situations [2, p. 167].The second stage of the family life cycle is characterized by the appearance of children in the family (the childs age is up to 2.5 years), the main tasks of this stage are adaptation to the presence of the child, the organization of family life that satisfies both parents and children. It often happens that the image shows the father, he is not young, dressed in office clothes, probably he just came from work or is going to leave for it. He holds his young daughter at arms length, thereby demonstrating a certain aloofness from the process of raising and caring for her. A babys diaper on his head can be a confirmation of this. These images characterize certain difficulties that parents have in everyday life – caring for children, organizing leisure activities for young children.Family image at the third stage of the life cycle in animated films (families with preschool children aged 2.5 to 6 years). The main tasks in such families are to adapt to the basic needs of children, overcome everyday difficulties and organize personal space. The image of a family at the fourth stage of the life cycle in animated films (families with children – younger schoolchildren (the senior age is from 6 to 13 years). This image of the family is widely used in the plots of animated films, because children of primary school age can already choose cartoons according to their interests and familiar situations of interaction in the family play a big role in this choice [5, p. 92].In families at the fourth stage of the life cycle, a certain style of upbringing prevails in the images of families with children of primary school age from 6 to 12 years, in which the democratic style of upbringing dominates, and in the images of families at the sixth stage of the life cycle with adolescent children, in which the authoritarian style of upbringing prevails. The image of a family at the fifth stage of the life cycle in animated films (the image of a family with teenage children aged 13 to 18). Such images of families in animated films are found in 6%. At the fifth stage of the development of family images, the problem of establishing a balance between freedom and responsibility in adolescents is solved, and parents make certain requirements for them in terms of household and material assistance. Teenagers, on the other hand, show a certain degree of laziness and unwillingness to help their parents. The image of a family at the sixth stage of the life cycle in animated films (the image of a family from which adult children leave). The sixth stage of family image development is represented in 18% of modern animated films, the main task of which is to free young people from parental care. Families of the sixth and zero stages, as a rule, are shown in the same cartoon, since the plot lines just develop on the peculiarities of the family situation, where teenagers strive to free themselves from parental care and form their own recreational family. Parents seek to transfer custody of their adult children, trying to marry them off, but the children resist this [3, p. 237].Family image at the seventh stage of the life cycle in animated films (families from the care of children to the retirement age of parents). These families are not represented in modern Russian animated films.Image of a family at the eighth stage of the life cycle in animated films (families of retirement age). These families are represented in 8% of modern Russian animated films. All the experts who took part in the authors study agreed that cartoons should show the family as the main life value, although the role of parents may differ for each age, but the basic trust between the child and the parent, the supporting function of the family should be shown more often. The visual image of a family can be presented as a well-off family, characterized by a flexible distribution of roles between parents, in which parents and children communicate a lot with each other, create common family traditions. It is important that in cartoons parents are depicted as involved in solving childrens issues, characterized by mutual support and mutual assistance, readiness to solve conflict situations together. The need to create such an image of the family not only in animated films, but also in other types of media is emphasized in official documents of the Russian Federation, such as the Concept of State family Policy in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025, the National Strategy of Action for Children for 2012-2017, and certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation denial of traditional family values and in a number of other normative acts "On supporting the family, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood in the Russian Federation".
