FEATURES OF UPBRINGING AND SOCIALIZATION

OF YOUNG MEN IN NUCLEAR AND EXTENDED FAMILIES

Abstract: the relevance of this work is due to the importance of the study of satisfaction with the family system in young men from nuclear and extended families, since the family is the foundation of society and its influence on the development of the personality of young people is very high. Therefore, the results of this study can become the basis for the development of practical recommendations for improving family relations, increasing life satisfaction of young people, and improving the quality of life of families in general.

Keywords: family, extended family, nuclear family, upbringing, socialization.

The specifics of the upbringing and socialization of young men may depend on the type of family in which they are brought up. The nuclear family and the extended family may differ in their approaches to the upbringing and socialization of young men.

In a nuclear family where only one or two parents are present, young men can receive more individual attention and care, since parents do not share their attention with other relatives. However, in nuclear families there may be problems associated with the absence of a male or female role model, especially if the father is absent or does not take an active part in upbringing.

In an extended family, where there are more relatives, including grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins, young men can receive more support and care. They may also be more socialized, as they are more often in the company of other people than in nuclear families. However, in extended families there may also be conflicts and problems associated with having more relatives who may have different views and opinions.

In any case, regardless of the type of family, the upbringing and socialization of young men should be based on the principles of respect, love, support and understanding. Young men should receive the right direction and guidance so that they become useful and responsible members of society. Young men who grew up in a nuclear family usually receive less attention and care from their parents than in extended families. In a nuclear family where there is only one parent, children may feel lonelier and more isolated, which may affect their socialization.

In extended families where several generations live, young people have more opportunities to communicate with different people of different ages and social groups. This helps them to better adapt to society and develop social skills. Also, traditions and cultural values are more often passed on in extended families, which contributes to the formation of personality.

However, in extended families, conflicts and contradictions between generations can arise, which can lead to strained relationships. In addition, there may be stricter rules and restrictions in an extended family, which may limit the freedom of young men and lead to conflicts.

In a nuclear family, young men can have more freedom, but at the same time there is greater responsibility for their actions and decisions, as they can affect the life of the whole family. In addition, the nuclear family may have more intense and deep relationships between relatives, which contributes to the development of emotional closeness and support.

Also, in a nuclear family, there are usually more opportunities for education and career growth, since parents can better provide for their children financially and educationally. At the same time, young men from a nuclear family may be more dependent on their parents and have less experience in resolving conflict situations.

Thus, the upbringing and socialization of young men in nuclear and extended families have their own characteristics and advantages, and the choice between them depends on many factors, including cultural, economic, and personal preferences.
